Myst IV in Realtime 3D

Before Ubisoft took over the Myst franchise, former rightsholder Mattel Interactive hired Dreamforge to continue the saga after Presto's Myst III: Exile.

"All the design was done, 100%", writes Patrick Fortier, Ubisoft's Creative Director of Myst IV, in a forum. Dreamforge also had the game running, about 20% done, and spent almost two years in development. Their working title: Myst IV: Adventure beyond the D'ni Ultraworld. A 3D first person game at a graphical quality similar to Uru featuring the two brothers Sirrus and Achenar, as Myst IV: Revelation does.

Several threads on several forums discussed this topic. Areth and Gadren did some research and even found some images showing the realtime glory of Dreamforge's Myst IV. Thread | 1 | 2 |
